Is it free?
Once you have downloaded the free app, you can create and share an unlimited number of videos for free. All you need to create video messages, is a working internet connection. We will be adding both free and paid content, such as new characters, outfits and animations with future updates. Note that purchasing the premium content is optional, the free content will stay free!
Which phone or tablet do I need?
Zoobe Pets and Zoobe Eve work on Apple´s iPhone 3GS or better with iOS 5.0 or later. For optimal performance, an iPhone 4 or later with iOS 6.0 is recommended. The Zoobe Pets app is also available on phones and tablets running Android 2.3.3 or better. Note that the videos you create and share can be viewed on all kinds of mobile devices, desktop PCs and laptops.
Will there be a version in my language?
Zoobe is available in English and with version 1.11 also in German. We will add support for French and Spanish to future updates. Would you like to have the app in your language? Send a message to: askmonica@zoobe.com
Do I need an account to use Zoobe Cam?
You can download and use Zoobe apps with your regular Apple ID, no further registration is required. In one of the next versions, we will add user accounts to keep track of the content additions and videos.
Do I need to be online to use the app?
Yes! Since we are creating your video on our servers in the cloud, you need a working Internet connection to use the app.
Are my videos safe? Who can watch them?
Every time you create a video, we create a link that can be shared with others. Anyone who knows that link can watch the video, but you decide who to share that link with. That means your videos are safe for messages, greetings and jokes among friends, but please do not share confidential information.
Which personal data does the app gather?
We save the emotion, video creation date and location (if you allowed Zoobe to use your location) for every video to help you find it in the video list, and to impress your friends with the cool places you have been. Since we do not know your name, this data can not be used to identify you. See our privacy information for a detailed description.
How can I see the videos in full quality?
When you first create a video it will be downloaded and played in a lower quality for quick previewing. After a few seconds you will also see a fullscreen-symbol that lets you watch your video in full quality. Please note that shared and downloaded videos always use the best quality!
How do I change the voice of my character?
Our apps use a so-called “voice pitch” to make your voice sound a bit more like a cartoon character. To adjust the pitch level, use the button on the left of the recording button. You can make your voice sound higher, lower or normal. You can improve the quality of the recording by speaking close into your phone and avoiding loud environments.
How do I share the same video several times?
Every video you create will appear at the top of your “My Videos” list, together with a thumbnail, emotion, time and location. Simply tap on a video to watch, share or send it again! Note that although you can choose to preview a video in low quality on your phone, the shared video will always be in high quality!
How do I delete videos?
To delete a video from your list, simply swipe from left to right across the video title in the list in a "strike-through" gesture. A delete button will appear. Press it to confirm the action, or tap on the entry to cancel.
I wish I could use other characters and animations!
